Anete Toča

Anete Toča is a distinguished flutist and cultural producer, serving as a musician in the flute section of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra since 2009. She was previously the principal flutist of Orchestra “Rīga” (2006–2016) and has performed as a guest artist with prestigious ensembles such as the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Gran Canaria, and The Nordic Symphony Orchestra.

As a soloist, she has collaborated with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, the RIGA Professional Symphonic Band, and leading chamber ensembles. Passionate about chamber music, she performs with NYX Trio, Quintus Anima, and has collaborated with the renowned Danish woodwind quintet Carion.

Beyond her performance career, Anete is an accomplished arts manager, serving as the executive director of Sinfonietta Rīga since 2016. She has successfully organized large-scale projects through the concert agency “La Buona Musica”, including the ŠALC classical music festival and internationally acclaimed performances such as the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra with Andris Nelsons.

Her production work includes a 2019 recording of Verdi’s “La Traviata” featuring soprano Marina Rebeka and the Latvian Festival Orchestra, an ensemble she helped establish. The orchestra has worked with esteemed artists such as Elīna Garanča, Joshua Bell, Sergei Krylov, David Geringas, and Karel Mark Chichon, earning a 2020 Opus Klassik nomination (Germany) for Best Orchestra of the Year.

Anete holds a master’s degree in flute performance from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, studying under Vilnis Strautiņš. She previously trained at the Emīls Dārziņš Music School and has refined her artistry through masterclasses with Michael Faust, Carlo Jans, Algirdas Visgirda, Felix Renggli, Giorgio Marcossi, and Philippe Benoit.
