Leonardo, born in Adrogué, Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1992, began his musical studies at the age of 7. He pursued academic music at the Isaias Orbe Conservatory and Polivalente de Arte, with a keen interest in Argentine popular music. He studied under maestro Carlos Moscardini and professor Victor Villadangos, who introduced him to the Buenos Aires music scene. Leonardo completed his formal studies at the Conservatorio Juan José Castro in 2016, earning the title of Professor of Music and Guitar Instrument, and continued his studies in Argentine popular music at the Conservatorio Superior Manuel de Falla.
Leonardo has performed on various stages, radio, and television across Argentina and internationally, in countries like Peru, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia, Spain, France, and many more. He has received numerous national awards and distinctions. Since 2011, he has participated in the Guitarras del Mundo festival and notable events such as the Montreal Jazz Festival and Uppsala Guitar Festival. Leonardo collaborates with various prestigious artists and has been part of over fifty record productions. He leads his own band, performs original music, and is a member of the Franco Luciani Trio. His first solo album, “Puentes,” was nominated for the Premios Gardel as Best Alternative Folk Album in 2020.
