
Andrea Pellegrini
Description
Andrea Pellegrini completed his musical studies at the Conservatorio “Arrigo Boito” in Parma, the city he calls home, graduating in September 2014. He has since appeared in a wide range of operatic roles, including Angelotti in Puccini’s Tosca, Fiorello in Il barbiere di Siviglia, and Norton in Il matrimonio segreto, performing at Teatro Regio di Parma and Teatro Valli in Reggio Emilia.
He has been a regular participant in the Verdi Festival, appearing as Baron Douphol in La traviata in Busseto, as Ramfis in Aida, and as Sparafucile in Rigoletto in Parma. Andrea Pellegrini has also collaborated with Teatro Lenz in Parma in the contemporary opera Re Lear, in which he performed the title role.
In 2016, he sang Colline in La bohème at Teatro Sociale in Mantua and took part in several contemporary music projects, including performances of Laborintus II by Luciano Berio, Sylvano Bussotti’s vocal quintet Ancora odono i colli, and chamber music repertoire such as Brahms’ Liebeslieder and Neue Liebeslieder in Rimini.
From September 2016 to the summer of 2018, he was a member of the Centre de Perfeccionament Plácido Domingo in Valencia, based at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía. During this period, he debuted in numerous roles, including the Sire de Béthune in Les vêpres siciliennes, Gubetta in Lucrezia Borgia, the Marquis d’Obigny in La traviata, the Jailer in Tosca, and Publio in La clemenza di Tito. He worked with distinguished conductors such as Roberto Abbado, Fabio Biondi, and Nicola Luisotti, as well as acclaimed directors including Davide Livermore, Emilio Sagi, and Sofia Coppola.
