Born in Ufa (Republic of Bashkortostan), Asiia Garipova comes from a distinguished Bashkir family of musicians. The artistic legacy of her grandparents contributed to the modern development of Bashkir musical tradition. This heritage shaped her understanding of music as a living language and formed the emotional and artistic core of her identity.

Formed by the traditions of the Russian and German violin schools, Garipova graduated with distinction from the Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory and won the Maria-Pawlowna Scholarship of the Gartow Foundation, which opened the path to studies at the University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar. She completed her master’s degree with distinction at the University of Music and Drama Hamburg under the guidance of Tanja Becker-Bender.

As a soloist with orchestras, Galimova performed major works of the repertoire, including Sofia Gubaidulina’s Violin Concerto No. 1 “Offertorium” as well as her Impromptu for Violin, Flute, and String Orchestra, which she performed in the Great Hall of the Laeiszhalle Hamburg. A laureate of international competitions and festivals and the recipient of artistic awards, Garipova has appeared as a soloist in celebrated concert halls across Russia and Europe, collaborating with orchestras and chamber ensembles of international standing.

Alongside her concert activity, she maintains a close collaboration with contemporary composers, contributing to new works and exploring unconventional ensemble formations. Contemporary repertoire forms an integral part of her artistic practice.

Garipova’s musical language is rooted in the rich Bashkir heritage, where folk songs remain a source of artistic inspiration and emotional depth. In this dialogue between tradition and the present, her playing seeks clarity, sincerity, and inner resonance.
