Nadine Koutcher graduated in 2011 from the N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory with a Vocal Performance Diploma, studying under Distinguished Artist Professor Tamara Novichenko, and in the chamber music class of Kira Izotova.

In 2012, she was invited by Teodor Currentzis to join the ensemble of soloists at the Perm State P. I. Tchaikovsky Opera and Ballet Theatre. That same year, she participated in the International Diaghilev Festival, where she performed the role of Medea in the Russian premiere of Pascal Dusapin’s opera Medea Material. Her powerful interpretation earned her the prestigious Golden Mask Award in Moscow in April 2013.

In June 2012, she recorded a CD with the MusicAeterna Orchestra under the direction of Teodor Currentzis, featuring works by Rameau, released by Sony Music. Later that year, in September, she won the Grand Prix at the International Vocal Competition ’s-Hertogenbosch, also receiving the Audience Award and the Prize for Best Performance of the Obligatory Piece. In 2015, she was awarded a main prize at the renowned Cardiff Singer of the World competition.

Since 2014, Nadine Koutcher has made acclaimed debuts at major European and international opera houses, including the Grand Théâtre de Genève and Teatr Wielki in Warsaw as Mathilde in Rossini’s Guillaume Tell; the Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse as Contessa Almaviva in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro and as Lucia in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor; the Opéra de Paris (Bastille) as Olympia in Les Contes d’Hoffmann; the Teatro Municipal de Santiago de Chile as Amenaide in Rossini’s Tancredi and as Contessa Almaviva; the Teatro Municipal de São Paulo and the Berlin State Opera as Violetta Valéry in Verdi’s La Traviata; and the Teatro Regio di Torino as Marfa in Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Tsar’s Bride, among many others.
