Elena Kole

Elena Kole (Elena Kolesnikova Sheglova) was born into a family with rich cultural traditions.

Her grandfather, Nikolai Mikhailovich Sheglov (1883-1930) was a priest at the Rachmaninov family manor Znamenka, in the Tambov region. He participated as a pianist and violinist in amateur concerts organized by Alexander Siloti, the cousin and a professor of Sergei Rachmaninov. At that time the manor was a cultural center of the province and had own choir and orchestra.

Elena’s mother, Zoe Sheglova, chose a career as a scientist, but she was a lifelong passionate lover of classical music, particulary opera. Therefore, when Elena’s absolute pitch was discovered at the age of six, she immediately began taking piano lessons.

At the age of ten, Elena began to improvise. Her first public concert took place at the age of twelve.

Elena is a pianist graduate from the Rimsky- Korsakov Saint-Petersburg State Higher Conservatory, a center where she has been working for twelve years subsequently.

She residing in Spain since 2002 and works as a professor at the Liceu Higher Conservatory (Barcelona).

Elena Kole performed in numerous concerts of chamber music with singers and instrumentalists in different halls, such as the Small Hall of the Saint-Petersburg Philharmonia, Concertgebouw, Gran Teatre del Liceu, among others.
She has taken part in the festival “Nit’s d’Opera (Ibiza) as a pianist and coordinator.

Elena Kole is a member of the Association of Catalan Composers. Apart from her activities in music, Elena also writes for the Spanish music magazines “Opera Actual,” “Scherzo,” and “Ritmo.”

She cooperates with Prima Classic since 2021. During this period, Elena recorded 5 albums of her music, which have garnered over 33 million plays across all music platforms.
