Eugene Soifertis

Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Eugene Soifertis gained early recognition by winning First Prize at the Beethoven Competition at just thirteen years old. He went on to graduate from the Kyiv Specialised Music School before continuing his studies at the Moscow Conservatory under renowned professors Victor Merzhanov and Lev Naumov. He also studied chamber music with A. Makarov, known for his collaborations with Yehudi Menuhin and Mstislav Rostropovich, and later participated in masterclasses with Nikita Magaloff in Paris.

Soifertis earned his master’s degree from the Moscow Conservatory and has performed extensively throughout the former Soviet Union. Now based in the United Kingdom after time in the Netherlands, he has built an international career with appearances across Europe, including the Rarities of Piano Music Festival in Husum, the Flanders Festival in Ghent, and performances at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.

In the UK, he has played at prestigious venues such as Wigmore Hall and has been featured in major festivals nationwide. As a passionate chamber musician, he has performed with violinist Anastasia Chebotareva, a Tchaikovsky Competition laureate. His concerto appearances include performances with the Dutch Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Residentie Orchestra in The Hague, the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, among others.
