Alexander Boldachev – Rutka
First Single out on July 3
Description
Rutka is a four-part suite for harp, string orchestra, and percussion by Swiss-Russian harpist Alexander Boldachev, originally written for an unfinished film project inspired by a screenplay about Rutka Laskier. Recorded in Verona with the orchestra L’Appassionata, the EP transforms memory, cinema, and historical reflection into sound. The four movements – Rutka’s Theme, Liebesleid, Waltz of Memories and Tears and Ashes – trace an emotional path from a young inner voice to love, memory, grief and historical rupture. The opening movement introduces Rutka as an inner presence: mysterious, modest, curious and fragile. It is not a portrait in the documentary sense, but a musical image of a young voice interrupted by history.
